Judith Ruffhead

Judith has lived on Romney Marsh for 20 years, with her family and dog. It is from the sea and the countryside around her that she draws most of her inspiration. She is a keen walker, and also loves Devon and Cornwall, and with her husband and dog can regularly be found exploring Kent, Sussex and the South West's beaches, cliffs and country lanes. Judith is fascinated by different textures and forms, and brings this into her work wherever possible.

Judith was initially introduced to silversmithing and jewellery making 5 years ago, and has been developing her craft since then. She now has her own secluded workshop, overlooking fields, where donkeys graze, and curlews and oystercatchers land, and the setting sun shines in. Judith has branched out to explore working in other metals, but continues to mainly create in silver.
